2021 marks the 100th birthday of Shore Haven Lutheran Church.

Welcome!  We are glad you have found our website.  Please look around and get to know us here, then come and visit and get to know us in person.

We are a congregation of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. (www.lcms.org)  For 100 years, Shore Haven has been joyfully proclaiming the good news about Jesus to the communities surrounding our church.

Jesus is God’s answer to mankinds’ sinfulness, where we ignore what God desires for us and follow our own desires.  Sin came into the world through Adam and Eve and is a part of every human since.  The consequences of sin were a broken relationship with God and the punishment of death.

Without forgiveness from God for our sin, our death would mean a separation from God, forever.

God desires to be in relationship with us, His creation.  He sent His own Son, Jesus, to be the One who could restore mankind’s broken relationship.  Jesus lived the perfect life that we could not.  Jesus died upon the cross in our place, as the payment for the sins of the whole world for all time.  One perfect sacrifice for all!

Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”  (John 3.16-17)
